Delivery of 215 social and affordable housing units in Montreal.
Access to social and affordable housing in Montreal is a key pillar for building an inclusive and sustainable community.
On October 18, 2024, a significant milestone was reached in making housing accessible for everyone. During a press conference, attended by Édith Cyr, Valérie Plante, Mélanie Joly, France-Élaine Duranceau, and our president Vincent Chiara, we proudly announced the delivery of 215 social and affordable housing units in the Sud-Ouest borough of Montreal.
This project consists of two key initiatives:
The Pointe-Amicale Housing Cooperative, which offers 93 units, including small homes and family-sized apartments. Designed to provide a friendly and functional living environment, these homes are Novoclimat certified, ensuring eco-friendly spaces and high energy efficiency.
The nonprofit organization Habitation Héritage de Pointe-Saint-Charles, featuring 122 units for families and individuals. This high-quality building includes a courtyard and a community room, creating spaces that encourage social interaction and strengthen community ties, all while adhering to Novoclimat standards.
These new homes are more than just living spaces; they represent our commitment to a more inclusive and supportive community, addressing the affordable housing crisis. At Groupe MACH, we firmly believe it’s our social responsibility to actively contribute to the creation of social and affordable housing. This project, made possible through collaboration with the City of Montreal, local community groups, Bâtir son quartier, the federal government, and Construgep, reflects that belief.
